Plans for the Havering Mosque are progressing and the developers presented more information to the Strategic Planning Committee on December 11th. The presentation was what's known as a pre-application presentation and there was no vote yet on the planning application itself.

The mosque team recently presented but were asked to come back with further details on traffic and pedestrian movement studies.

There were huge amounts of information provided on the amount of people using the site, their movements, and use of the likes of public transport. This was based on studies of existing travel at their current site, just a few hundred metres down the road.

I spoke, not as a voting member of the commtitee, but to make further comments on the application.

Watch my speech below (sorry the low quality and strange camera work!)
