Como St Tower
The planning application for the Como Street tower has now been submitted by Mercury Land Holdings, the developer owned by Havering Council.
The submission describes the plans as being for 138 homes, commercial space, community space, landscaping and parking. Crammed into a small space, the towers will rise 9 storeys above the historic family homes and gardens, transforming the area from one characterised by Victorian architecture to one defined by dense towers.
These proposals mean a loss of visitor parking for residents in the area, gardens looked over, and empty retail space cluttering the neighbourhood (we don't need yet more shops in Romford).
